Business Model
The business model that United Africa Airways seeks to put in place is to create opportunities for all the dominant segments of the air travel industry, deploying both network and point-to-point airline operational strategies. This will be in a form of a Hybrid model, but bespoke to UAA vision of the Ghana Market.
Accra will serve as the hub from where services are provided to key locations for our selected destinations. To provide flexibility and convenience, multiple services will be provided on the selected routes.
The selected route services are expected to grow organically to complement each other by providing feeder services for each other. To take advantage of the huge fifth and sixth freedom traffic rights within the African region, our schedules will be aligned in such a way as to take advantage of this potential.
For an effective hub and spoke relationship, transfer facilities at KIA and baggage sorting systems will have to be effective. UAA will work towards setting up an efficient hub operation to support the network strategy.
Further, to support this arrangement, both on-line and off-line representation offices will be set up in partnership with key travel agents in Ghana and the rest of the world. Country Sales Managers will be attached to the key travel agents to support the development of the markets.
UAA will have full control over the operations and routine maintenance of its fleet of aircraft. Major maintenance checks will be contracted to an Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO).
